Journal of Geotechnical and Transportation Engineering
The Journal of Geotechnical and Transportation Engineering (JGTTE) covers the broad areas of practice known as geotechnical engineering and transportation engineering. The journal intends to provide a platform for publication of the high-quality researcher in common areas among the geotechnical and transportation engineering. JGTTE focuses on the papers that have applications in either of these fields, with emphasis on theoretical aspects.
The specific topics that are covered by the journal are road and highway design, sub layers of railroad, geosynthetic reinforced ground, retaining structures, soil dynamics and foundations, engineering behavior of soil and rock, site characterization, slope stability, dams, rock engineering, earthquake engineering, environmental impacts of geotechnical and transportation engineering, geosynthetics, computer modeling, groundwater monitoring and restoration, geomechanics, planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operation of air, highway, rail, and urban transportation, pavement maintenance and performance, management of roads, bridges, and transit systems, traffic management technology, railway engineering and economics. Authors are also encouraged to submit papers on new and emerging topics within the general discipline of geotechnical and transportation engineering. Experimental papers are also welcomed, especially the ones with a clear and significant potential for practical application. Practice-oriented papers and case studies are particularly welcomed and encouraged.
